Marlon Luiz Teixeira was born on September 16, 1991, in Pomerode, Santa Catarina, Brazil. He is of Portuguese, Japanese, and Amerindian descent. Teixeira's modeling career began when his grandmother introduced him to Anderson Baumgartner, the owner of Way Model Management and a family friend. This connection led to his entry into the modeling industry at the age of 17.

Teixeira's international breakthrough came in 2008 when he debuted on the runway for Dior Homme in Paris. Since then, he has walked for numerous high-profile fashion houses, including Chanel, Balmain, Emporio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, DSquared², Roberto Cavalli, Jean Paul Gaultier, and many others. He has also opened shows for Emporio Armani and Dior Homme. 

In addition to runway work, Teixeira has appeared in campaigns for brands such as Diesel, where he became the face of the Diesel Fuel for Life Denim Collection fragrance in 2011.
